We are looking for someone who has a passion for software development, writes beautiful and elegant code, and wants to work in a dynamic and creative organization delivering high end websites and applications using the latest technologies.

Ideally you enjoy working with other talented people and developing innovative solutions, and will be looking to become a key team member for the long term. You will have 3-4+ years as a PHP developer building and deploying applications. We may consider less experience if you have world-beating talent!

Projects are diverse and range from smaller, boutique niche applications to large content management systems, ecommerce sites, and development of web portals and directories.

NOTE: we are looking for genuine, passionate developers who can write develop solutions and write elegant code to the highest standards.

Requirements:

  • That you've pushed the envelope in a similar role on a website with > 35 different websites and applications.
  • You will have 3-4+ years as a PHP developer building and deploying applications (or world beating talent)
  • You should have a deep understanding and appreciation of code quality.
  • Write good advanced level AJAX/JavaScript code from scratch
  • Expert level perfection in Php and MySQL.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility
  • Build simple, blindingly simple interfaces and believe that writing maintainable CSS goes beyond good class names.
  • That Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal and Magento are just some of the things you've extensively worked on your road to us.
  • Your energy and enthusiasm makes you work great independently or as part of a team.

1. The Resume

2. The Interview

Be ready for a few challenging questions.
If we like what we "hear" in your resume and cover letter, we'll invite you for an interview. We take interviews seriously, so if you're invited, be ready for tough questions, brain teasers, and cases that test:

  • Your analytical and technical abilities
  • Your ability to frame problems, develop creative solutions, make sound judgments, and reach sensible conclusions in the absence of complete information
  • Your interpersonal and communication skills.

3. The Challenge

Be ready for a few challenging questions.
After the interview, we may ask you to take up a "challenge", a task that mimics some of the tasks you'd do in the position for which you're applying. Don't think of your challenge as a test; it's more a way to give you a window into what the job entails. If you enjoy the challenge, you'll likely enjoy the job.
